Writing in different languages

As we all know, China has a extremely long history. When I write in Chinese, I always think about if it is has a traditional way to describe. Moreover, I always quote ancient poems, such as poems of Tang dynasty and Song dynasty. Also, I use famous words said by great people in the Chinese history. It is colorful because there are so many ways to express my idea. But in American English writing, I always think about the grammar of sentences and the vocabulary I use . Mostly, I just need to confirm that if the paragraphs I write is correct. That is why I usually realize American English writing is boring. In my opinion, it is because my English is not good enough to make a perfect article. Fortunately, in 396K class, I can use photos, images and many other ways to help me finish a project because most of them can present parts of my opinion. I like English writing and I will always practice my writing in English.

I've done quite a bit of reading about this, and the reason I think you stop and consider your grammar and vocabulary is because Western writing is very linear. There's a specific way we must write and if it is not written this way, sentences and paragraphs don't make sense. There's actually quite a bit of history involved in this, that goes back before there even was a United States, or American English.

Your lucky...I wish that American writing was as different and creative as Chinese. It would be interesting to get to know and understand the language and history. Im in a history class right now where we have briefly talked about the Ching dynasty along with other dynasty. I enjoyed your blog.
